A New Eatery in Town

I recently had lunch at the new Oretta Restaurant on King Street West in Toronto and loved the atmosphere, service and delicious italian cuisine.

This huge restaurant boasts two spacious floors of stunning art deco interior design with a beautiful large bar in the middle of the main floor.  Even the floor tiles are impressive. It’s the perfect place for business lunches or social dinners with friends and family; or a night out for drinks.  They offer a private room on the second floor for group events.

The menu consists of appetizers such as truffle crostini, veal tartar on chips, lamb chops or lamb speduci.  Lots of choices for Secondi, including homemade pasta dishes and pizzas, lamb, fish or scallops.

I had the Cavoletti Insalate, (above),  made with fennel, radish, shredded napa cabbage, orange, pumpkin seeds and vincotto,  which was tasty and refreshing,  before having the Chitarrina Pasta, with tomato sauce, stracciatella, and basil oil for my Secondi.

Second Floor Private Dining

I liked that I was able to work and eat throughout the afternoon and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to  feel at home no matter what the occasion.

For reservations please click here for  Oretta’s website.
